Financial Aid

A Delta School education is an investment in your child’s future. Providing an independent school education requires careful financial planning, and it is important to understand that families are expected to bear the cost according to their means and ability to pay.

At its founding, The Delta School Board of Trustees committed to offering financial aid to qualified applicants who provide evidence of need. Currently, about two-thirds of our students receive financial aid. Our first priority is funding students from the town of Wilson.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

Financial aid qualification is not considered until after students are accepted for admission to The Delta School. Please reach out to Director of Finance, Melanie Wilkey at melanie.wilkey@thedeltaschool.org for specific instructions.

Families are asked to apply for financial aid using a third party, FAST, which provides a framework through which household needs can be measured fairly and equitably. Recommendations are then used by the Financial Aid Committee to determine the award amount. Awards are often given between 10% and 80% of tuition costs.
